These supplements I personally use. I don’t consume these supplements every day because I usually get them from my food for the day. But I do take them if I fall short of my diet goals. I do have mixed feelings about supplements but, I feel these are a must if you are in the market for supplements.
Multivitamin
If you are lacking important vitamins and minerals in your diet. Then this is a great way to supplement them. I don’t take them every day, but I do take a serving size if my goals weren’t met for the day.
Omega-3
Great for joint and brain health. Studies have been found to reduce the levels of triglycerides and reduce the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. If you consume fatty fish a couple of times a week then you should get enough omega-3’s in your diet. I don’t so I take these every day.
Protein powder/protein bars
Usually, a protein powder scoop or a protein bar is over 20 grams of protein. This is a great way to add protein if it's lacking in your diet. I don’t take it every day since my diet is high in protein. But I do take it if I didn’t get enough. Aim for .6-1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight.
Super greens
I don’t take this if I’m having a multivitamin for the day because they both have some of the same vitamins and minerals. It’s great for antioxidants and fiber and tastes like shit. Make sure you mix it with juice or a shake.
Creatine
Creatine improves strength, builds muscle, and helps with muscle recovery. It is the most studied supplement on the market and is proven to work. And the best part is it’s cheap.
